Another adorable blog post - featuring SHirin Kids & CR !!

So excited to discover the wonderful mom-bloggers out there but even more excited when they find us!  SHirin Kids is a fabulous line of wearable art for your hip baby.  The combination of chic design & eco-friendly fabrics make these adorable onesies, tees and hats hard to resist!  More from SHirin coming soon...we will be carrying the latest little dresses.   I have to agree with   TheUrbanKid  - love it!!

On Twitter with a new compact mini-logo

Until this weekend, I didn't know what all the fuss was about with this Twitter business!  Since it was a long weekend and I was FINALLY home with no big plans, I decided to spend some time to try to figure it out.  I am now, a converted believer!  It is a very cool tool once you find some people or groups to follow.  I am proud to say that as of the time I am writing this, I am following 150+ and I have  45 followers of my own.  That being said, I think there is always the risk of spammers who are just trying to up their twitter accounts but I did find that there are ways to protect your account from that but either restricting access or requiring validation.  Plus there are all these really cool mom bloggers and social media savvy women out there that are dedicated users!  It makes it very worthwhile.  While I still love my main logo, I found that the size did not work for display as a twitter pic - I also have the same issue on facebook.  So, taking some inspiration from one of my fav brands (BR or Banana Republic), I have added a new, mini-logo to use both on and offline.  I have already found a cool mom-blogger to partner form something coming soon so stay tuned!   In the meantime, see you on twitter!!!  :-) cr on twitter

I am back...Blog Press and Thanksgiving Wishes

It has been a long time since my last blog post.  That is a bit of an indication of how hectic life has been lately.  So, on this Thanksgiving weekend, I am back at it since there is just so much to be Thankful for!  Family and friends and this new venture.  I have so many things that I want to do and I am so grateful that I am able to make it happen!  The site continues to generate steady traffic and our facebook group continues to grow.  There is just so much more in store!  I had some good blog press recently which was very exciting.  Jennifer Garner was spotted with a PaciSitter that is available on our site.  Check it out http://celebritybabyscoop.com/2009/11/16/celeb-baby-gear-get-the-look - the site links to CR where you can pick up the same one!!  :-)  I am very hopeful for the future and happy with the forward movement.  The women I have grown to know through Ladies Who Launch, continue to amaze and inspire me.  I looking forward to a wonderful holiday and I wish you the same!

Bebe Au Lait Mint Chocolate Reversible Double Bib .............Y-U-M!

This bib from Bebe Au Lait is both hip and functional.  The bib comes in a number of different patterns but the Mint Chocolate (pictured) has been an early hit!  It looks as yummy as it sounds!  The brilliance behind these bibs is that there are actually four clean surfaces to use.  The bib is secured closed by double sided magnets and the sides overlap.  There is a white terry-cloth surface underneath.  That way, you can use the same bib four times before you need to wash it! The two patterned sides are 100% cotton & the reverse are 100% terry cloth.  The bibs are machine washable.  This is definitely a hip mom & baby must have item.... stock up or give as a gift!

Perfect for fall ... Kahu Booties

Madison Parker - local Jersey City designer

There were a lot of things the ladies loved at the event!  One, being the line from Madison Parker.  I especially adore the fact that this is a local designer from my town!  The fun and funky onesies are so cute and keep baby hip, reflecting the coolness that we all experienced growing up.... (think Big Wheels).  This line is a keeper and the ABC DEF has been an early best seller so I thought I'd share it on the blog.  Plus it is great for a boy or a girl and I know the blog has been a bit girl biased so far.... :-) Don't worry, I am on a mission to find more boys lines for the site so stay tuned!  

Clementine Rose is officially launched!

It is 5:32 am on a Saturday.  The site came on-line officially, last night around 9PM just as I was sitting on a patio, enjoying a lovely & late dinner with my mom and hubby.  I was going to wait until tomorrow to send an email an post this entry but I was so excited - I couldn't sleep!  So, the email went out sometime after 4AM.  I am really glad that the site is finally live!  Our event on Thursday was perfect timing.  The moms were great and I think everyone had a good time.  You really can't go wrong with champagne and tarts.   Especially when the tarts are white chocolate, lemon and lavendar (the absolute fav flavor of the night)!  I will be posting pics to the biog and the now-live facebook page later today (at a more decent hour) but I wanted to give my blog followers an update!  I guess that is all for now... but much more is coming soon.  Thanks for the early support and hanging in there with me!  :-)

The launch has been delayed...

We are VERY close to launching however it will not be today.  :-(   Don't worry...it will be worth the wait!! :-)   I am very excited about the site and we are just putting the finishing touches on everything.  Thanks to my testers who have provided some wonderful and actionable feedback to make the site the best it can be for the day when we go-live.  Please stay tuned ...  we are still coming soon!  In the meantime, lets talk about something really exciting -  our official launch party!!  My friend is graciously hosting her local Jersey City moms group for an evening of "Champagne & Tarts".  This will be a fun and casual way for local moms to learn about the site and view the launch collection.  The event will be held at her home on September 17th.  Moms who attend will receive 15% off of their purchase that evening!  If you are local and interested in attending, please let me know! Go Gently Baby

So, I mentioned this line already in an earlier post but I need to share since I placed my order this week and I cannot wait for it to arrive!   I am thrilled to say that I will have the line in time to include in the launch.  This collection is so charming.   Clothes for baby that are not only hip and stylish but they have a message that we could all learn a thing or two from.  Made with organic and sustainable materials and constructed in LA, this line will keep baby looking good while making a statement.  Pictured here is the sweet roo dress in putty...soft and comfy... love it!

SHirin Kids - wearable art for your hip baby

The countdown to launch is officially on! We are counting down to Sept 7th. That is just over a week away.... can't wait! I received another shipment this weekend and I have to share..... Thanks to the NYC trade show I found SHirin Kids - beautiful and artistic tees, onesies and hats to keep baby looking good. These are hand silk screened prints that make a wonderful gift. Love this line!

kit + lili and Go Gently Baby

This week, I received my first shipment from kit+lili - a Brooklyn based line. I adore these onesies and rompers for baby. Bright, vibrant colors and very cool designs - an adorable onesie covered with cherry colored apples! (see pic) How fun! And thanks to one of the Ladies in my Ladies Who Launch group, I have discovered a new line called GoGentlyBaby. The thing I love most about the line is their choice of organic and sustainable fabrics. Plus the clothing is constructed in LA and looks uber cool!! I will be checking out the fall line so look for more on that in a few days!

New Maternity Lines for Launch!!!

I found a couple of new lines that I am going to try to squeeze in for launch....First there is the ultimate layering piece to transition between the seasons. Inca Mama sweaters from Peru... they are modern and soft and versatile. These will be a must have for Fall and Winter! And I finally found a line of diaper bags that will be perfect for the launch. Babymel London - the perfect bag for the mom who wants function AND style...at a great price! I will try to limit my exclamation marks for future posts...I am just so excited :-)

My First Shipment Arrived Yesterday!!!

I was enjoying a late night with friends on a rooftop in the Meatpacking district so as excited as I was about my first shipment last night....I waited until now to open it. I need my sleep!! I am sooooo excited!! Lifefactory wee•Go® bottles with adorable silicone sleeves. They come in these vibrant, juicy colors that look like sherbet ! Yum!! AND can I just say Bebe Au Lait nursing covers, double bibs, burp cloths and hooded blankets......so fab - the patterns are sophisticated but fun at the same time..... & even the packaging is lovely. I can't wait to get the site updated so I can start to show these wonderful products! But for now, I am off to the day job. More soon....

Ladies Who Launch Incubator - I am Now a BELIEVER!

Ok, quick post before I am off to work.... (the day job) ... I went to my first Ladies Who Launch Incubator session last night in Union Square and let me just say..... I am a total believer already. This was the first of four sessions with the same group and I can't wait until next Tuesday. These ladies are amazing! To have a place where I can actually talk about my company and my ideas and get inspiration and encouragement from this very diverse group of women - I can't even describe it. I will give more details later since I have homework to do.....good homework honey!

Bubble NYC - My first trade show...

So, today .... even with the MONSOON rain showers in NYC, I ventured out to attend my very first trade show. And I am very glad I did! I discovered some wonderful new lines! And even placed a order. I feel that my line up of baby stuff is looking pretty good....and with todays addition....it is going to be "killer"! (To borrow a description from Amanda who I met today!!) Amanda sells Nui Organics - a beautiful line of organic merino wool childrens wear. I saw her line and HAD to add it to the launch wear for the site. So check back at launch for her beautiful organic wool wear. And the Kina collection of handcrafted natural baby booties. They are lovely.

Clementine Rose is Born!

I have always wanted to start my own business. I know, I know....its a recession right? The WORST possible time to start a new venture. The best thing to do is keep my nose clean and head down at the job I still have (for now) and try to make it through 2009 unscathed. Well what is that saying...."Life's too short!" Clementine Rose is my eBoutique that will launch in August. I have always wanted to do something like this and now is as good of a time as ever. I am 31 with no kids (yet) and a great career. But something is still missing.....So, its official! The birth of my first...."baby". Clementine Rose is my bun in the oven for now.... more to come soon!!!
